HCSO Detectives Seeking Information in Homicide

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is seeking new information in the disappearance and death of Stevencia Barlatier, DOB/11-29-1995, who had been living in the Orlando area at the time she went missing. Stevencia was last seen on November 25, 2017. She was observed that day at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Publix located at 1500 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32803. She was later reported missing by her relatives in Collier County, Florida. Stevencia, who was Haitian, was in a relationship with a Haitian male, and she was pregnant with his child when she disappeared. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a blue or green top with black leggings, a black hooded jacket, and carrying a pink patterned backpack. She was also holding a blue garment, possibly a sweater. Months later, her body was recovered on the east side of rural Hernando County. The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have seen Stevencia, had contact with her, or has information about her activities, associates, or travel on or after November 25, 2017, to come forward. Even details that may seem minor could be valuable to investigators.
